Installation

Care and Maintenance

Disconnect power to the electrical box and remove

the one-time fixture. If more than than two wire leads are

nowadays, keep rail of which wires were connected

together. Due westARNING: Shut off power at the circuit

breaker or fuse panel before removing the former

fixture (Fig. 1).

Connect the supply leads from the electrical box to the

fixture wire leads using the wire nuts (Fig. half-dozen). The

connections need to be made on the dorsum side of the

pan. The black lead from the fixture pan is spliced to the

black supply lead, and the white lead from the fixture

pan is spliced to the white supply pb. Ensure the

wire nuts are tight (Fig. 7). Advisedly push the

spliced wires back into the electrical box.

The fixture does not use a mounting bracket to secure information technology to

the electrical box (Fig. 2). Utilise either the existing electric

box screws or the ones included in the hardware kit.

Drive the screws into the electric box until

there is about 3/8 in. between the ceiling and

the underside of the screw head (Fig. three).

Locate the keyhole slots on the pan. The inner two are

set up at a distance that volition accommodate a standard

electric box mount. Position the fixture pan (fixture

posts facing toward the floor) over the electrical box and then

that both machine screws protruding from the electrical

box pass through the larger round end of both keyholes

in the fixture pan (Fig. 8). Once both screw heads accept

passed through the keyholes, twist the pan, until both

screws are situated at the end of the narrow the keyhole

slots (Fig. 9). Hold in place and tighten the screws downwards

tightly, without distorting or damaging the fixture pan.

• LEDs can exist damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD) shock. Before

installation, discharge yourself by touching a grounded bare metal

surface to remove this hazard.

For safety and proper operation, the fixture must be

properly grounded. A green or blank copper ground wire is

preattached to the fixture pan. The fixture basis wire

must be spliced to the greenish or blank copper basis wire

in the electric box using i of the wire nuts

(Fig. 5). (If house wiring does not include a

ground wire, consult local electrical lawmaking for

canonical grounding methods.)

Attach the threaded tube to the center hole in the pan

using the split washers, and nuts (included) as shown in

the illustration (Fig. 4). Make sure that y'all take

/2 inch of threaded tube protruding on the back

surface of the pan in order to allow plenty infinite for the

diffuser, cap, and finial to be fastened.

Place the diffuser over the threaded tube, and while

holding the diffuser in place with one hand, place the

diffuser cap over the threaded stem, and secure both the

diffuser cap, and diffuser with the finial (Fig. ten). Restore

power to the electric box to make sure the fixture is

working properly.
